SENATE BUDGET COMMITTEE: ISSUES The Senate Budget Committee, broken up into the Democratic majority and Republican minority, are faced with dealing with economical issues including but not limited to budget resolutions, fiscal budgets, the nation’s budget crisis, reform measures, and health care reform measures. They do this by holding mid-session reviews, passing resolutions, and holding hearings on the economy.
Even though the budget committee basically sets out what Congress uses in regards to total levels or revenue and government spending. Unlike other committees who also deal with economical issues, the budget committee has no control over preparing legislation that would put taxes into action and allowing actual spending.
